After making (pretty much) the same smoothie for nearly two years, I've finally started to branch out. As the 80 degree temperatures hit Long Island, I decided I needed a hydrating and pina-colada-esqe smoothie to get me started on these hot summer days. If you need the same, find my recipe below!

Ingredients

  • About 3/4 cup of sliced pineapple
  • 5-6 cubes of watermelon
  • Generous handful of spinach
  • 1/2  of a banana
  • 1/2 cup of ice
  • Drizzle of honey (if you tend to like things on the sweeter side)
  • Water if needed (some blenders require a little extra liquid than the watermelon provides)

Once you've got these all ready, throw them in the blender and you're good to go! I recommend putting the ice and any frozen ingredients further from the blades than the other ingredients. Also highly recommend a pineapple garnish on your glass...ya know...just to be fancy. Enjoy!
