Marketing & Event Planning Experience

January 2018 - Present
Chief Marketing Officer, Northeastern University Center for Financial Independence (Thrive)
As the Chief Marketing Officer I manage three marketing team members, which requires me to oversee all public relations, outreach, design and communications operations. In this role I have taken the initiative to focus the Center's branding and messaging across all channels to ensure that students understand our mission and offerings. I've also sought out opportunities for the Center to engage with prospective students at admissions events, and orientations. Lastly, I coordinate the Center's daily communications by continuously updating and sharing a marketing calendar that outlines social media posts, email newsletters, flyer distribution, and outreach.

In addition to my marketing role, I am also responsible for developing and presenting comprehensive personal finance presentations on topics such as budgeting, investing, student loans and credit. Over the past year I have designed two new workshops - "Beauty on a Budget" and "Power of the Purse".

May - August 2018
Event Planner/Field Support Intern, Weight Watchers
During my time at Weight Watcher I supported field operations for a network of over 13,000 service providers throughout the country and planned several internal events. I was assisted my manager as we planned a remote conference for 200 people in two weeks, which taught me how to quickly identify potential challenges and streamline communication. I also assisted in planning about 100 internal events for groups of 100-300 people across the country. To support the field operations, I completed all local marketing requests and worked cross-functionally with the human resources and communications teams to facilitate field trainings.

September - December 2017
Director of Public Relations, Northeastern University Center for Financial Independence (Thrive)
As the Director of Public Relations I was responsible for designing all marketing materials, including flyers, postcards, social media graphics, and presentation backgrounds. I used Canva to create materials that had consistent branding and effective, concise messaging. I also coordinated and hosted two on-campus tabling sessions each week to promote upcoming events and connect students with the center's resources. Throughout the semester, I focused on enhancing the Center's outreach program to bring educational presentations into clubs and classrooms, organizing six presentations throughout the semester.

January-June 2017
Integrated Marketing Co-Op, New Balance
As an Integrated Marketing Co-Op I worked directly with the women's marketing team to reach our target audiences through events, catalogs, social media and in-store marketing. Within the first few weeks I was able to prove my strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly, which enabled me to work with more than one marketing team and gain more exposure to brand marketing.

During this co-op, I was able to collaborate with seven brand ambassadors by seeding seasonal product samples and tracking custom content inventory and social channels. I also assisted in providing brand material such as product, banners, flyers and coupons for ambassador events. I supported two 78-page catalog productions by participating in layout and style-out weeks, helping to make edits, provide feedback and coordinate meetings. I contributed to the planning of the global Girls Night Out event by working with marketing managers from several global regions to determine international fitness and event trends, finding unique venues and music experiences to accompany the main workout. I also worked with our BAMKO representative to design customized promotional items for gift bags for event participants. I developed a database of athlete and ambassador profiles to reference for future brand campaigns and researched the ambassador programs of major competitors. Lastly, I managed asset inventory, ensuring assets were posted to internal database for global access and cross-discipline communication and aided in a company-wide transfer of assets from Box to Widen and OneDrive.

January-June 2016
Digital Marketing Associate, Wayfair
As a Digital Marketing Associate at Wayfair I supported the display advertising team in the customer acquisition department. As the team's first official co-op I was able to turn the role into a more strategic position than my manager had originally anticipated and was able to take on more responsibilities and projects throughout my time there.

During my six months at Wayfair, I I tracked daily advertising spend across more than a dozen different platforms using an Excel tracking document that I personally built and improved over the course of my internship. I designed 600 display advertisements and gateway pages with featured products using Adobe Photoshop. Some of these advertisements included Google Sponsored Promotion HTML email ads that I used for a campaign that I fully developed. This campaign drove a 5.96% CTR and $1,200 in revenue in just one week. I also maintained a weekly email campaign through Yipit, acquiring 1,264 emails and driving $4,500 in revenue over two months. I analyzed competitor’s display advertisements and collaborated with creative teams to modify messaging and imagery on future ad templates. Lastly I supported the daily functions of the display team, including launching and pausing ads on various display networks (Google, Yahoo, AppNexus, Facebook) and communicating with external vendors.

Fitness Experience

Group Fitness Instructor - Cycle, Northeastern University Campus Recreation
I instruct three 45-minute cycle classes each week at the University’s fitness center. I spent one full semester shadowing an experienced instructor to prepare for this role and curate unique playlists for each class.

Lifecafe Poolside Server, Lifetime Fitness in Garden City, NY
I joined the Lifetime Fitness team during the summer of 2017 to explore my interest in health and wellness. As a Lifecafe poolside server, I was required to provide quality customer service in a fast-paced and upscale environment. I also gained experience in understanding food allergies and preferences and was exposed to many nutritious, satisfying menu options.
